![]() ![]() The Devotion of Suspect X is a subtle, skillful book that is unusual and familiar. It’s tough to write a review for this book without giving too much away. So, you definitely can read it as a standalone novel. This is the third book in the Inspector Galileo series, but it is the only one I have read, and I did not find any continuity issues from reading from the middle of a series. Nothing quite makes sense, and it will take a genius to understand this crime genius. When Detective Kusanagi of the Tokyo Police tries to piece together the events of that day, he finds himself confronted by the most puzzling, mysterious circumstances he has ever investigated. But when her ex-husband appears at her door without warning one day, her comfortable world is shattered.
